Washington County is a county located in the state of Kansas in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Washington.

Geography

The County is located in northeast Kansas, Nebraska and bordered to the north has an area of ​​2328 square kilometers, of which one square kilometers of water surface. History

Washington County was formed in 1873. It was named after George Washington, the first U.S. president.
