William E. Dannemeyer

William Edwin Danne Meyer ( born September 22, 1929 in Long Beach, California ) is a former American politician. Between 1979 and 1993 he represented the state of California in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

William Danne Meyer attended Trinity Lutheran School in Los Angeles and then to 1946 the Long Beach Poly High School until 1943. He then completed in 1947, the Santa Maria Junior College. Danne Meyer continued his studies until 1950 at the Valparaiso University in Indiana continue. After a subsequent law degree from Hastings School of the Law and its 1952 was admitted as a lawyer in Santa Barbara, he began to work in this profession. Previously, he was, however, still during the Korean War two years 1952-1954 soldier in the U.S. Army. Between 1955 and 1957 he served as deputy district attorney and from 1959 to 1962 as a legal representative of the city of Fullerton. At the same time he proposed as a member of the Republican Party launched a political career. Between 1963 and 1966, and again from 1977 to 1978 he sat as a deputy in the California State Assembly. From 1966 to 1976 he was also a municipal judge.

In the congressional elections of 1978 Danne Meyer was in the 39th electoral district of California in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of Charles E. Wiggins on January 3, 1979. After six re- election he was able to complete in Congress until January 3, 1993 seven legislative sessions. In 1989 he was one of the deputies, who were entrusted with the implementation of the impeachment proceedings against the federal judge Walter Nixon. 1992 renounced Dannemeyer on another candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives. Two years later, he endeavored to gain his party's nomination for election to the U.S. Senate, but was defeated Michael Huffington.

William Danne he is regarded as extremely conservative. He led a fierce battle against then- President Bill Clinton and his government. Danne Meyer believes in a Jewish conspiracy to rule the world. He is against same-sex marriages. Today Danne Meyer is the honorary chairman of the group Citizens for a Better America. With his wife Evelyn died in 1999, he has three grown children. He is married to his second marriage with the controversial doctor Lorraine Day.
