Roggentin, Mecklenburg-Strelitz

Roggentin is a municipality in the district of Mecklenburg Lake District in the south of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It is administered by the Office Mecklenburg small lakes located in the city Mirow.


The municipality is situated on the Roggentins and partly in the Müritz National Park. By districts Babke and Blankenförde flows the upper Havel, still a trickle connects several lakes here. The Jäthensee, the Zotzensee, the Red Lake and Crooked Lake are some of the many lakes that surround Roggentin.

Community structure

The municipality includes the districts of Roggentin Babke, Blankenförde, Leussow, Kakeldütt, Qualzow, Roggentin and Schiller village.


Roggentin was first mentioned in historical documents in 1301. The name derives from the Slavic locator of the place; Location of the Roketa or Ruchęta.

A little to the south parallel to the running state road 198 location link road from Mirow to Neustrelitz runs through the municipality Roggentins. The nearest train stop is located in Mirow ( Neustrelitz Mirow ).
