Summer Village is a municipality in the district of Mecklenburg Lake District. The community is located south of Demmin. It belongs to the Office Demmin country, which has its administrative headquarters in Demmin. Until 1 July 2004 Summer village belonged to the Official Borrentin.

Geography and transport

Summer village is situated about twelve kilometers north of Stavenhagen and 17 kilometers south of Demmin. Federal highway 194 runs to the east of the church. Summer village is located on the eastern shore of Lake Kummerow. Quarters are summer village and New summer village.

History

Summer village was first mentioned in 1222. Until the dissolution of the monastery it belonged to the monastery in Verchen. It was then Nebengut ( pertinence ) to Kummerow, an estate of Malt tooth. Then, the 800 -acre estate was separated and thus independently. Last owner was the family Rewoldt. In 1924 the manor house was burned down, but was rebuilt. During the Nazi period the manor was " farm school for the training of young farmers ".
