Susan Davis (politician)

Susan A. Davis ( born April 15, 1944 in Cambridge, Massachusetts) is an American politician. She is a member of the Democratic Party and, since 2001, representing the 53rd Congressional District of the State of California member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Susan Davis studied at the University of California at Berkeley and graduated in 1965 with a Bachelor from; Three years later she graduated as a Master of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After many years of affiliation with the school board of San Diego, who presided as President from 1989 to 1992, she was elected to the House of Representatives from California in 1994. Finally, in 2000 she ran for a seat in Congress. With 50 percent of the vote they won against the Republican incumbent Brian Bilbray. Since then, she has been re-elected five times, most recently in 2010 with 62 percent of the vote against Republican Michael Crimmins.

Susan Davis and her husband Steve have two children and two grandchildren.
