Grünow, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
Grünow is a municipality in the district of Mecklenburg Lake District in the south of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern ( Germany ). It is administered by the Office Neustrelitz country located in the office not belonging Neustrelitz.
Geography
The community Grünow located 17 kilometers east of Neustrelitz in the transition area between the lake district and the Feldberg Lakes. Just south of Grünow begins the eastern part of the Müritz National Park. Here is the 143 m high Hirschberg the highest point of the park.

History
1324, the village was first mentioned in a document. The Grünower stone church was built in the late 14th century. In the Thirty Years' War, the village was devastated by Tilly's army.
The eight larger farms and more Büdnereien until the mid 20th century village is still dominated by agriculture.
Economy and infrastructure
In the town three crop plants and three part-time farms of animal production are located.

Grünow is a little out of the national traffic flows. The neighboring municipality of Carpin is located on the main road 198 Neustrelitz in Brandenburg Prenzlau; Rail connection consists of the ten kilometers away from community Blankensee ( distance Neustrelitz Neubrandenburg ).
