Nossentiner Hütte

Nossentin hut is a municipality in the western part of the Mecklenburg Lake District Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ). It is administered by the Office Malchow, located in the eponymous city.

Geography

The community Nossentin cabin is located about six kilometers north of the town of Malchow and 17 kilometers west of Waren (Müritz) in the Mecklenburg Lake District on the east and north shores of Lake Drewitzer. The largest part of the municipality is located in the Natural Park Nossentin / Schwinzer Heath is forested, with only the southern tip is dominated by arable land. To the south lies with the 96.8 m above sea level. NHN high mountain pick the largest collection. At the banks of Lake Drewitzer the terrain falls to 62.4 meters. Within the town limits there are only few and small standing waters.

The municipality includes the districts Drewitz Nossentin hut, hut Nossentin and sparow.

History

Nossentin cabin 1751 was first mentioned. The name stems from the existence of glassworks and tar works at this time. After 1990 tourism importance of the region rose sharply, the former manor in sparow was expanded by reconstruction of the old farmhouse and construction of shelters and the appropriate infrastructure to a vacation and resort.

In the district Drewitz Erich Honecker had a hunting lodge right on the lake Drewitzer since 1982. In 1998, this property is transferred to the current owner, who converted it into a holiday village.
