Capricorn-Coast-Nationalpark

The Capricorn Coast National Park (English: Capricorn Coast National Park ) is a national park in the eastern part of the Australian state of Queensland. It is located 535 km northwest of Brisbane and 5 kilometers south of Yeppoon.

The National Park consists of six individual parts, four of which are publicly available. These are Double Head, Rosslyn Head, Bluff Point and Coconut Point. Some of the parts had already by 1943 independent National Parks before they were merged in 1994 on Capricorn Coast National Park.

Landforms

Rocky Cape, which have formed before 73-79 million years, are the major surface shape of the national park. The capes offer great views of the barrier islands ( Keppel Islands ) and the hinterland of the coast.

Flora

The park is coastal heathland and light forest, and rain forest and tussock.

Driveway

From Yeppoon from the coast road passes to the south on the individual parts of the park. Double Head and Rosslyn Head lie closest to the city.

Facilities

The tents in the park is just as allowed as pets. At Bluff Point, there is a hiking trail and a picnic area.
