Burrum-Coast-Nationalpark

The Burrum Coast National Park (English Burrum Coast National Park ) is a national park in the southeast of the Australian state of Queensland. Rights- is there a relatively untouched by civilization coastal plain coastal wetlands.

Location

The nature reserve is situated 281 kilometers north of Brisbane. It starts about 15 kilometers south of Bundaberg. A little further inland are the Bingera and Cordalba National Park.

The park, which stretches along some 30 kilometers of the coast, consists of four separate sections: Kinkuna, Woodgate, Burrum River and Buxton. The part Burrum River Section is located south of the mouth of the Burrum River.

Flora

Be found on the banks of the Burrum River mangrove forests, while with a thicker layer of soil found in the areas of eucalyptus different species, including the protected Goodwood Gum (Eucalyptus halli ). In the wetlands of the tea tree dominates ( Leptospermum laevigatum ) and the cabbage palm ( Livistona australis). There are also many wildflowers and heaths.

Facilities

The park is accessible by hiking trails. In rainy weather the driveway is advised with all-wheel drive vehicles, otherwise rich normal road vehicles.

Driveway

The national park is accessible from the Bruce Highway between Bundaberg and Maryborough on side streets. The beach resorts Burrum Heads and Woodgate Beach are surrounded by National Park.
