Palmgrove-Nationalpark
The Palm Grove National Park (English: Palm Grove National Park ) is a national park in the southeast of the Australian state of Queensland. It is located 458 km north-west of Brisbane and 185 kilometers north of Roma at the Fitzroy Developmental Road.
The park is exclusively for scientific purposes in accordance with the Nature Conservation Act 1992 in the highest level of protection and is not accessible to the public.

The park consists of dry, wild sandstone country.
Flora and Fauna
The vegetation consists of sparse and dense eucalyptus and acacia forest, as well as from sub-tropical rainforest. Vulnerable ecosystems include.
- Acacia and Eucalyptus harpophylla cambageana, light forest on fine-grained sedimentary rock bottom.
- Acacia harpophylla and / or Casuarina cristata, light forest on fine-grained sedimentary rock bottom.
- Macropteranthes leichhardtii, dense forest on fine-grained sedimentary rock bottom.
- Mixed rainforest (English: semi- evergreen vine thicket ) in a protected location on coarse and medium sediment rock bottom.
Dwarf Quoll were seen in the park.
Important Bird Area
The park was declared by Birdlife International for Important Bird Area (IBA ) because he an isolated population ( about 10 pairs ) of the sensitive (English: vulnerable ), providing a habitat black run chicken breast ( Turnix melanogaster ). This deposit is the most preferred in Australia in the west. Also, there are those classified as sensitive Braunkopf cockatoos.
