Thrushton-Nationalpark

The Thrushton National Park (English: Thrushton National Park ) is a national park in the south of the Australian state of Queensland. It is located 520 kilometers west of Brisbane and 90 km west-northwest of St. George.

Provincial nature

The park in the Darling Downs consists of a flat state and steppe country. There are the remains of the former use as pasture for sheep.

Flora

About the National Park extends dense Mulgagestrüpp. On the plains of sand spinifex grass grow and dry, lights eucalyptus forest.

Driveway

The Thrushton National Park can be reached via the Balonne Highway (exit Mourilyan ). About the Parish Mourilyan leads from the highway down a dirt road to the north, reaching the park after 25 kilometers. Driving on the access road is only possible in dry weather and only with four-wheel drive vehicles.
