Capricornia-Cays-Nationalpark
The Capricornia Cays National Park - (English: Capricornia Cays National Park - ) is a national park in the eastern part of the Australian state of Queensland.
Location
He is at the height of the Tropic of Capricorn (English Tropic of Capricorn ), 60-100 km northeast of Gladstone, Curtis between the channel and the Capricorn Channel in the South Pacific.
In the vicinity of the National Parks Curtis Iceland and Keppel Bay Islands lie.
Provincial nature
In the park a series of coral islands and coral reefs are protected, which are known for their beauty and biodiversity. They belong to the World Heritage Great Barrier Reef.
The main islands are Masthead Iceland, Iceland Erskine, Heron Iceland, North West Iceland, Iceland Tryon, Wilson Iceland, Iceland Wreck, One Tree Iceland, Hoskyn Islands, Lady Musgrave Iceland and Fairfax Islands. There are also reefs nor the North Reef, Fitzroy Reef and the Llewellyn Reef.
Facilities
The camping is permitted on Northwest Iceland in the north of the archipelago and to Lady Musgrave Iceland to the south of the archipelago.
Driveway
The islands are only accessible by private or charter boats. The following islands for scientific purposes only and must therefore not be entered: Wreck Iceland, Hoskyn Islands and Fairfax Islands.
