Nerang-Nationalpark

The Nerang National Park (English: Nerang National Park ) is a national park in the southeast of the Australian state of Queensland. It is located 70 kilometers south of Brisbane and twelve kilometers north-west of Surfers Paradise on the northwestern outskirts of Nerang.

The national park is known for its variety of birds, hiking trails and views. This makes it popular with mountain bikers, hikers and bird-watchers.

Provincial nature

The park area is hilly and is about 100 meters above sea level, eight kilometers away from the coast. The Coombabah Creek and Saltwater Creek flow through the park. The soils are clay and limestone.

In the vicinity of the Southern Moreton Bay Islands National Park, Tamborine, Sarabah and Burleigh Head lie.

Flora and Fauna

The park consists of open woodland with various species of eucalyptus and some dry rainforest in the valleys.

This forest is home to a wealth of indigenous and introduced animals.

Recovery

The Nerang National Park is used for all kinds of sports, such as horse riding and mountain biking. 2009 Mountain Bike World Championships were held for the Under-15 -year-olds here. In the park there are many ways for firefighters and other forest trails, which can be used for horse riding, cycling and hiking. There are also two hiking trails to the Casuarina Grove Circuit ( 2.7 km plus 800 meter loop ) and the Three Hills Track ( 2 km ).
