Sarabah-Nationalpark

The Sarabah National Park (English Sarabah National Park ) is only 1.42 hectare national park in Queensland, Australia.

Location

It is located in the hinterland of the Gold Coast in South East Queensland region about 65 kilometers south of Brisbane and 15 kilometers south-east of Beaudesert. The nearest town is Canungra. From here you can reach the Park via the Lamington National Park Road to the south. After about 5 miles you will pass the National Park. There are no visitor facilities.

In the neighborhood of the Tamborine National Park, Nerang, Springbrook and Lamington lie.

Flora

The Sarabah National Park protects a small area of primary tropical rainforest on the banks of the Canungra Creek, a tributary of the Albert River. Here flourish various ferns, Euphorbiaceae, including those classified as worthy of protection Green Karmala ( Mallotus claoxyloides ) and Red Karmala ( Mallotus philippensis ), Mulberry family, for example, the Sandpaper Fig (Ficus coronata ) and ten different types of soap tree crops, including Guioa ( Guioa semiglauca ).
