Crows-Nest-Nationalpark

The Crows Nest National Park (English Crows Nest National Park ) is a national park in Queensland, Australia.

Location

It is located about 6 km east of Crows Nest and 56 kilometers north of Toowoomba. It covers 18 square kilometers and was placed under protection in 1992.

General

After heavy rainfall the water of the Crows Nest Creeks shoots through his rock -strewn river bed before the Crow Nest waterfall tumbles over 20 feet deep in a surrounded by steep granite cliffs basin. Flora and Fauna

There are few areas with a similar variant-rich eucalyptus forest. Many species of this genus are to be found in the park.

Notable animal species that are native to the park, are the platypus, Sumpfwallaby, the endangered brush -tail wallaby, echidnas, bandicoots and the Buntwaran.

Of bird species can be, inter alia, Pale Head Rosella, Goldbauchschnäpper, South warblers of the subfamily Acanthiza, Yellow-bellied pig-headed and stubborn gray breast, Rotnacken Honeyeater and blue ear - honey -eaters and the white forehead Schwatzvogel watch.

Tourism

Picnic areas and a camp site with basic facilities are available. In the area there are also several hiking trails of varying difficulty.
