Fairlies-Knob-Nationalpark

The Fairlie - Knob National Park (English: Fairlies Knob National Park ) is a national park in the southeast of the Australian state of Queensland.

Location

It is located 231 km north of Brisbane and 40 km west of Maryborough.

The park is located on a pristine offshoot of Sea View Range, 10 kilometers north of Aramara, a town along state road 86, halfway between Maryborough and Biggenden. The park is accessible only on foot.

In the vicinity of the national parks Wongi, Woowoonga, Woocoo, Mount Walsh and Coalstoun Lakes lie.

General

The 299 -acre area was declared a national park in 1910 to protect the local rainforest and to secure the population a small recreation area.
