Cape-Hillsborough-Nationalpark

The Cape Hillsborough National Park (English Cape Hillsborough National Park ) is a national park in the eastern part of the Australian state of Queensland. It is located 837 km northwest of Brisbane and about 40 kilometers north- west of Mackay.

The park is situated on a peninsula of volcanic origin, which is mainly covered with rain forest. The highest elevation is 267 meters above the sea.

On National Park Day 2010 (28th March 2010) the State Government of Queensland added further 2.04 square kilometers added to the park that is now little more than eleven square kilometers.

In the neighborhood of the National Park Newry Islands, Reliance Creek, Mount Ossa and Pioneer peaks are.
