The West Hill National Park (English West Hill National Park ) is only 10.8 square kilometer national park in Queensland, Australia.

Location

The park is located about 725 kilometers north- west of Brisbane and 75 kilometers south of Mackay in Mackay Region. The nearest town is Sarina. From here you can reach the park via the Bruce Highway to the south. After about 50 kilometers you will pass the National Park between the two small towns Ilbilbie and Carmila. In the park there are no roads, trails or other visitor facilities.

In the neighborhood are the national parks Kelvin and Cape Palmerston, off the coast of Broad Sound Islands and Northumberland Islands.

Flora and Fauna

The West Hill National Park protects the estuary of three small rivers and an estuary offshore island Westhill Iceland. It has a diameter of about 2 to 3 kilometers and is covered with sparse eucalyptus forest. The estuary lined with mangroves.

Here are some find worth protecting classified bird habitat, including the white-bellied sea eagle ( Haliaeetus leucogaster ), Caspian tern ( Hydroprogne caspia ) and the Pelican (Pelecanus conspicillatus ).
