Athletics at the 2004 Summer Olympics
The athletics competitions at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens were held with two exceptions, all the Olympic Stadium. The shot put was carried out in the ancient stadium of Olympia. The marathon began in Marathon and finished in Panathenaic Stadium.
