The Washington County is a county located in the state of Georgia in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Sandersville.

Geography

Washington County was formed on February 25 in 1784, when 10 County of Georgia and as an original county. It was named after President George Washington. The first settlers were veterans of the Revolutionary War, who were paid a piece of land for their services.
