Fayette County (Georgia)

The Fayette County is a county located in the state of Georgia in the United States. Administrative office ( County Seat) is Fayetteville.

Geography

The County is located in the central northwestern Georgia, is located in the west about 80 miles from Alabama and has an area of 516 square kilometers, of which six square kilometers of water surface are. History

Fayette County was formed on 15 May 1821 as 49th County in Georgia from the country of the Creek Indians.
