List of protected areas of Western Australia
In Australia there are hundreds of national parks. The largest part of them is subject to the governments of the respective states; only a small number of farms is managed by the Ministry Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities of the federal government.

1924 Cobourg, was now known as Garig - Gunak - Barlu National Park, declared in the area of the Northern Territory 's first national park.
Queensland
In March 2008, the government has announced Queensland of 5 percent of the land to expand the area of the National Park to 7.5 percent by the year 2020. In addition, to be expanded to a total of 20 million hectares in the same period the total area of protected areas, which include, for example, Conservation Parks, Forest Reserves, Nature Refuges.
