Germany at the 2008 Summer Olympics

Germany increased in 2008 for the 22nd time in the Olympic Summer Games in part. Badminton

All five German athletes have qualified via the world rankings of Badminton World Federation ( BWF) for the Olympic Games. In the men of the German master Marc Zwiebler stand ( 1 BC Beuel) in the rankings from 1 May 2008, the underlying thought, as the best-placed German to rank 30 and thus secured the German Badminton Association of the BWF for the qualification ( DBV) a starting place. Basketball

The German men's national team for the first time since 1992 participate in the Olympics. She missed initially at the European Championships in September 2007, the direct qualification, but secured with a fifth place to participate in the Olympic qualifying tournament in Athens. Once there, the team was able, with the third place get the ticket to Beijing. The team is, however, already failed in the first round in the match against China with 55:59.

The national team of women had lost their chances of participation with an 11th place early on in the European Championship 2007.

The beach volleyball players qualified, in which they collected at various tournaments points for a ranking.
