The Randall County is a county located in the state of Texas in the United States. The seat of the county government ( county seat ) is located in Canyon.

Geography

The County is located in northwest Texas, the Texas Panhandle, is in the west about 70 miles from New Mexico to the north and about 120 miles from Oklahoma away. History

Randall County was formed in 1876 from parts of Bexar County. It was named after Horace Randal, a general in the Confederate Army.
