Ward County (Texas)

The Ward County is a county located in the state of Texas in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Monahans.

Geography

The County is located in western Texas and is approximately 25 km to the north front of the south-eastern tip of New Mexico removed. History

Ward County was formed in 1887 from parts of Tom Green County. It was named after Thomas William Ward, a president of the allocation of real estate management, a soldier during the Texas Revolution, and a mayor of Austin.
