Geography

The County is located about 50 km north of the geographical center of Texas and has an area of ​​2414 square kilometers, of which 15 square kilometers are water surface. History

Eastland County was formed in 1858 from parts of Bosque County, Coryell County and Travis County. It was named after William Mosby Eastland, a soldier during the Texas Revolution.
