The San Saba County is a county located in the state of Texas in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat), San Saba.

Geography

The County is located near the geographical center of Texas and has an area of ​​2948 square kilometers, of which 10 square kilometers are water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Mills County, Lampasas County, Burnet County, Llano County, Mason County, McCulloch County and Brown County.

History

San Saba County was formed in 1856 from parts of Bexar County. It was named after the San Saba River.
