Reagan County is a county located in the state of Texas in the United States. The seat of the county government ( County Seat) located in Big Lake.

Geography

The County is located in west-central Texas and has an area of ​​3044 square kilometers, of which 2 square kilometers is water area. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Glasscock County, Sterling County, Irion County, Crockett County Upton County.

History

Reagan County was formed in 1903 from parts of Tom Green County. It was named after John Henninger Reagan, a Postmaster General of the Confederate States of America, later U.S. Senator and leader of the Democratic Party in Texas.

Demographic data
