Franklin County (Texas)

Geography

The County is located north-east of the geographic center of Texas and about 40 km from the border with the State of Oklahoma. History

Franklin County was formed in 1875 from parts of Titus County. It was named after Benjamin Cromwell Franklin, an early jurists, judges and Gesetzesentwerfer the Republic of Texas.
